I was under my car trying to figure out how to replace the Constant Velocity joint. By some force of nature the car fell off 1 jack stand and the corner of the transaxle pressed HARD on one or two of my ribs. Anyways it hurts more now than it did at the time. It's been 12 hours. What should I do? Should I just put ice on it and it would go away?

You should go see the after hours walk in service. They may want to xray you. The problem is if you've cracked a rib, it could damage your lung, and best to have it checked. Also best to just make sure it's only a rib and nothing else.
At the least you can get pain relief too.
Seriously...go get it checked. Better safe than sorry....and at least you will be able to get a good night sleep with your mind at rest and some good pain relief.

I would suggest that you see your doctor because you could have broken a rib or fractured it. Do you suffer from shortness of breath? Because if you break a rib sometimes you could puncture a lung. There are many things that could go wrong so my best advice is to get to the doctors

Humm now what would a normal rational human being do? Go on the internet to yahoo answers and post a question like this and wait 3 days to pick the favorite? , or GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM! Omg!!!!

Everytime I have avoided serious pain, especially escalating pain, I have regreted it. You may have injured yourself in a way that requires medical intervention. (Like maybe you reptured an organ, or are bleeding internally). You need to go to the hospital, and soon.

If I were you I'd go get some x-rays done, just incase you did damage to them or depending on the ribs it could cause other problems that have not come about yet.

You need to go to the Dr. or the hospital and have them check to make sure you did not crack any ribs or do anything more serious to yourself...Please seek medical attention.

Go to the Hospital. some of you inner organs might be bruised or you might have internal bleeding. tell them what happened. they will do x-rays. I think.
