I'm doing my own. But then again I have the most wonderfull maid of honor to help me! We're making everything from scratch. I havent come up with a design I'm in love with yet but I know Im not paying $350 or something on peices of paper! Thank you cards can be bought plain/wholesale and such so those are the cheaper parts. I like the look you picked out for the invites and I love that picture idea too!!! Im really into photography so that's an awesome idea! You have to put a little of your own personality into it anyway so make it your own...it'll take a little longer and it may cause a bit more stress but it's going to cost you half of what you'd pay to have someone else print it for you. Good luck!!!

Try some digital scrapbooking sites, you can get lots of free templates and such and they have some adorable stuff! And if you know how to use a program like Paint Shop Pro or something like it, you can use those digital scrapbooking things to create some great invitations! Then take them to a Kinko's or such (unless you have an INCREDIBLE printer, I wouldn't suggest doing them at home) and have them printed out. My husband and I did the same thing when we got married. And the invitations were beautiful!

If you go to the local craft store like Michael's you can buy the box of invitations there ansd they are very inexpensive they are blank and you print them yourself except it gives you the web site to go to that has all the templates on the site so you just type in the kind you bought so you don't have to worry about margins and stuff like that it's really easy and inexpensive but they look great when they are done.

You should get the package that you saw in the craft store ... the font you use, the decor on the edges ... all of that can be personalized to match your event theme.
You could also send magnet invites to everyone ... think save the date, but as an invite. Since you aren't inviting that many people, you can do something different with your theme. If the groom loves baseball, send all of your guests a baseball with the details on it.
Have fun with things!!!

i would just do a general search on wedding invitations. most will look the same, but there was one that i saw recently you may not be able to find paper templates, but you could probably go to michaels to buy the paper. it is like vellum as the insert and you would print on the vellum, but it comes out really nice. the card would open like a gate and the vellum would be in the middle, you would tie the 'gates' with like a satin bow.

I printed my own wedding invitations...
I bought the kit (a pretty basic one), but since I had an autumn wedding, I bought rubber stamps and a gold stamp pad and stamped some autumn leaves on them. To finish it up, I sealed the envelopes with wax and an initial embossment. It was simple, yet elegant. Oh yeah, and sooo much cheaper!!!

There is a great book called Wonderful Weddings for Cost Conscious Couples...TLC's show For Better or Worse created it. I copied my invitations from the book and they look great. You can find it in the wedding section at Books A MIllion.

first of all, mazeltov on your happiness! best wishes and bright tomorrows to you both.
you could search wedding invitations on yahoo, but if you are trying to do a lot yourself... invest in one of those wedding planner notebooks. it will come with all sorts of helpful items, etiquette reminders, text suggestions, and (most importantly) a schedule/planner section so that you can get it all done before the big day.
i know it you are planning a small wedding, but this type of book/kit will be invaluable, and take a lot of the stress of planning your wedding off you and the groom. you can take the texts and add a little of your own creativity to make it more personal.

Im getting married myself and we decided to print our own invitations. After you factor in the cost of the ink and time you put into the job, its really not a great idea. So my fiance and I went to a local printer and they are doing then invitations and response cards for around $60. Its easy and a lot less heart-ache!

the kits you see at the store may have some ideas with them...also, if you go on the stores page (like www.acmoore.com or michaels.com) they usually have ideas there too. i'd recommend investing in photoshop, it doesn't have to be the brand spanking new photoshop CS, it could be a slightly more outdated version, but it will work much more nicely and allow you to personalize more than ypour basic MS word.
