Hi there,
For a simple, step-by-step program that can help your child learn to read visit this site: http://readingprogram.toptips.org
Learning to read at a young age is important for the development of the child. It helps them develop a better understand of their surroundings, allows them to gather information from printed materials, and provides them with a wonderful source of entertainment when they read stories and rhymes. Children develop at different rates, and some children will develop reading skills quicker than other children; however, what's important is that as the parent, you are keenly aware of your child's maturity and reading level to provide them with appropriate books and activities to help them improve.
As parents, you are the most important teacher for your children.

Cheers.

when i was younger, i used to go their all the time and play their fun, educational and interactive games. they're really fun and they help you connect with the characters and deveop your skills at an early age.
but watching arthur, dragon tales, sesame street, and teletubies and between the lions (**) and barney helps develop your speaking and listening dexterity as well as developing your morals and character. they're really fun to watch. you can enjoy them at any age, but you enjoy them the most when you're young because your child is around their age and these television characters can be their friends in a way almost. between the lions is more educational of all the shows though, it helps you with your grammar and proper english skills. i miss that show!
i remember there was a chinese show with cats on it, i forgot what it was called but they had tanagrams on their portion of pbs, it was a lot of fun. i miss those days
