I was 300lbs and lost 110lbs in a year. Of that I lost 50lbs in 12 weeks. You probably would not lose as drastically. I did Atkins. Basically stay at no more than 20 carbs a day. You can eat all you want. Eat all the meat, cheese, eggs, you want. Processed meats have carbs. Watch milk, veggies, fruit. Your body uses sugar for energy first. Carbs turn into sugar really fast. Fat foods like meat, cheese, turn into fat really slow so your body doesnt use it but stacks it up. So limit your sugar/carbs and your body is forced to use the fat. Exercise is important. I did not start exercising until I lost the first 50lbs but that was because I was so big it was difficult.

I'm doing the same thing for the same reason.... dieting and working out to get ready for my honeymoon. Although I have a couple more months than you do, what I have been trying works really well. If you don't have one, get a gym membership. Most gyms are open pretty late. The first key thing to losing weight is to reduce your stress and get enough sleep. As soon as you start doing that you will feel better about yourself, and you it will keep encouraging you to work out. Excersise increases endorphins, which make you happy and a happier you leads to less stress. With that being said, make sure you combine cardio workout with muscle works out. I do both. I spend around an hour to an hour and a half working out on a tredmill and exercise bike, and then about the same amount of time with the machines that focus on specific muscles. If you can't make it to the gym, then there are quite a few exercises that you can do at home. If you have an open space, jump roping and hula-hoops are good and you can do them while watching tv. Also do crunches and push ups, and running is an EXCELLENT work out for all of your muscles. The videos you are talking about are probably a good idea, but I don't know anything about those specific videos. I'd try one and see if it works before I moved on with the next video. A key thing to working out is to do something different every day. If you work your abs one day, give them a day or two to heal. Your muscles develop slower if you overwork them. Also keep up with some of the excersise suggestions that some people give out here on yahoo answers. There are some trainers on here and they have some really great and unique ideas. I've picked up some amazing work out tips and diet ideas from people! Good luck and congrats on your wedding!

First of all tighten up that diet.. No more sweets, soda, fried food. Eat 5 small healthy meals per day. Start each morning out with 20 to 30 minutes of cardio and hit the gym for some free weights 2 to 3 times a week. Take a pilates class or kickboxing through the week. If you really tighten up the diet and hit the cardio and build some lean muscle mass you will see some good results in 2 months.

Here is what people should do if they wanna lose weight. Stop thinking that you can eat little 100 calorie cookies and sit on the couch and expect to lose weight. If your gonna lose weight you have to excercise and stuff. Eating right is good but u cant lose a significant amount of weight sitting on the couch

Calories in must be less than calories use. PERIOD! At your weight you should be consuming about 1800 calories to maintain 150 lbs. Lower this to 1300 calories a day and you will lose about 1 pound a week. You should add some aerobic and resistance training for fat burning and muscle tone.

For what you have (about 20 lbs) and need (to look good), exercise with a sensible diet. Weight loss isn't even so much a concern, I'll guess, as shape.
