You can go to the "Where's My Refund" website created by the IRS: http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96596,00.html

I efiled and I received my refund in 2 weeks. I believe they only issue the direct deposit refunds on Fridays.

I hate to break this to you, but New Hampshire doesn't have a state income tax.

You can call the IRS to ask them if you would rather not deal with their web site. Problem is, it is hard to get through by phone.
