If he says you're not his type he straight out told you "he's just not that into you." Why should you try and get him to like you, you don't need to bother trying to make someone want to be with you. Don't pay this guy any mind. And eventually a guy who does think "you're his type" will come along and let you know in no uncertain terms that he likes you.

You don't get a guy to like you. He either does or he doesn't.
Some people are just flirty - it's in their nature. You can't read a lot into that.

well maybe he likes you but he thinks that you don't like him if you like him then let him know and work from there
