I have liked this guy since the 5th grade. We were really good friends and I was somewhat his confidante. We always talked. Then when we got to middle school we barely talked to each other anymore. I am now in the 8th grade and I still like him a lot. People said he always had a "thing" for me. I don't know how to show him I still have interest! We have a lot in common and I know his interests: basketball, drawing, music and I also do those things. He doesn't have a girlfriend, so how do I connect with him again? We barely talk anymore! I REALLY like him! We had a connection and he said in 5th grade that I was someone he could always talk to about his problems! I don't know how to flirt with him or anything!!! HELP!!!
How do I get his attention? How do I flirt with him?

You have a solid track record of talking with him, even if it's a bit old.

You have interests in common with him, which helps with the talking.

You do NOT have a solid track record of flirting with him.

I'd lead with the talking.

With luck, all you have to do is compliment him on something about how he looks AND in the same breath say you've been noticing something good looking about him for years.

You can just lead with that, or you can get him wrapped up in friendly conversation first and then drop comments like that. Whichever leaves you less scared of something going wrong is the one you should go with.

Call him, ask him round to your place for a party.

When he gets there, he'll find you dressed up hot, candles on the table, and food he likes as well. When he asks "What happened to the party?" just tell him that this is it - a party for two.

You'll blow his mind, totally.
