What is the oddest dog mix you've ever seen?
Alot of people told me I was cruel and stupid for inseminating a pit bull with a chihuahua, but I have actually had a number of people already asking if they can purchase one of them.... whatever they turn out to look like. I call it the Chi Bull.

I'd like to hear your ideas for future mixes.
Normally I just breed pits, but it is more interesting to make a dog unlike one anyone has had before.

There are enough stray mixed breed dogs around, AND enough purebred ones as well. Whyever would you want to contribute to an already existing problem, especially since you seem so concerned in other posts about controlling the stray cat population? There's NO reason to contribute to an already existing overpopulation problem.

However, to answer your question about odd mixes:

I had some friends once that had a female black lab and a male miniature dachshund...ever seen a 70 lb doxie? I have!

I have owned a chow/lab/airedale mix. Currently we have a great dane/bloodhound mix that looks like a really big bird dog. And no, we did not breed these dogs on purpose. They were both rescues.

There are sufficient stray blended breed canines around, AND sufficient purebred ones besides. Funny! My sister-in-law just started foster parenting a German Shepard Yorkie mix. And she is very cute! Reason for foster parenting is because her original parents were very old, and one acquired dementia and the other has Alzheimer's. Now they are in a new home that they can't take their beloved dog to. Very sad, because the dog is old, too. And it seems as though no one wants the older dogs at the shelter. So my sister-in-law and I have decided to start fostering the older dogs. Love all of them!!

Love your pic, Dogzilla!!

I always wondered why there is an over population of dogs in this country. Now I know why. So many of these dogs end up in shelters.

If you want to see what different mixes look like go to petfinder.com. There are 111553 dogs looking for good homes. There are 7216 Pit Bulls that are homeless just on this one site alone. A big portion are mixed breeds.

Why not give one of these dogs a home and have your dog spayed after she has her pups.

I'm trying to find a Great Dane/ German Shepard mix. A friend had one in high school and it was the KEWLEST dog I've ever encountered. I'd love one of those. Or, a Lab (black) Husky mix. My sis has one, it looks full lab with the exception of crystal blue eyes. Gorgeous.

I have a dog, she is half dachshund, half chihuahua. She's long like a dachshund, but not too short, and her face looks like a Jack Russel. She's precious. Some of her litter mates had pointy ears, hers are floppy.

I have a Daschaund/Cocker-Spaniel mix and a German Shepherd/Chow-Chow mix. They are both very unique looking dogs. I love mixed dogs-they are so loving.

I have never seen one but I have heard that Bulldogs and Shitzus make cute little Bullshitz.

There's no such thing as an "odd Dog mix". I'm a perfect example! :)
