After discussion with vet and surgeon, have decided not to put our dog with this traumatic experience to add just a few months to his life.

Please be sure to keep check on your dog's comfort level, and don't let him have such pain that living is too difficult. Putting him to sleep would be the humane way to treat him.

Oh I am so very sorry. The best thing that you can do for your pet at this time is to make him as comfortable as possible and spend as much time as you can with him. You will know when it is time (if you chose to put him down). I just went through this a month ago. We thought that we had more time, and as it turned out, he lasted only 2 1/2 days. My heart goes out to you at this moment of need. God be with you and your family during this emotional time. God bless you all.

I'm so sorry. Unfortunately,there isn't much that can be done for hemangiosarcoma. Here are a couple of informative links about canine cancers;

Enjoy every moment you have with your dog. I've been in your position.

Your a very smart person. It's cruel to put our loved ones thru that especially since they don't understand the pain & fear. My heart is with you & your family. Been thru that a year back & still know I did the right thing for my Lindy.

Sometimes not doing anything is the best decision. Its the hardest decision, not to fight for your pets life, but its not worth a few months. I had to make this decision for my cat.
