Look into the company that makes you bipolar anxiety pills. They may have a program where you can get your pills for free. My sister got Effexor for years for free through the company. You might also have a local mental health place by you where you can get your medicine and counseling for free.

You don't say which state you live in nor do you say your age...here in California if you are under 18 you can apply for IEP (Individual Education Plan) for students with ADD and/or learning disabilities. It's important to get into this program before graduation so that the IEP coordinators can help you apply for SSI/Medi-Cal. E-mail me at the3pats@pacbell.net, I'll give you names and phone numbers.
If you are in New York or Michigan, I believe they have similar assistance programs but I don't have that info. Other states vary and some states have none.

Check with your local Department of Social Services. People with mental illnesses can get a ton of help from government funded program. You should not have to have that extra stress on top of what you are diagnosed with. Good luck!

Do you goto college? Because all colleges require students to have health insurance. If you don't have it, they offer a low-cost insurance program that you can buy. The insurance is usually paid for by student loans. This insurance program will help you pay for your meds.
If you don't goto college, get a job. Most jobs will offer health benefits including insurance. That insurance will help pay for your meds.

My oldest son also has bipoal, adhd, and post tramatic stress disorder and since he had the conditions prior to age 17 he still is covered under our insurance. You may have to come out and ask if you will still be covered since they may not tell you.

I agree with aloha. Also remember that the medicines will treat the symptoms of the anxiety but not the cause. I don't know what else to add to the first two people who posted except to say that it might not hurt to consider finding true lasting peace outside of being dependent on chemicals. The following articles my bring you some measure of peace. I hope they help and I wish you the very best :).

There are many many patient assistance programs for people in your situation. Talk to your prescribing doctor or their nurse! There is plenty of help out there, so just look, and don't give up untill you find some?

Do you have a family member who can help you out? It's not a good idea to borrow and say that you will pay them back. But If they are willing to give you money, then please please take them up on it. What about a church? What about an organization that raises money for people in your situation?
