I got married and honeymooned in the British Virgin Islands recenlty. It was great. The first place I stayed was Carries' Island Comfort Inn on Tortola. It is so beautiful there. This place has one of the best views I have ever seen. Its a small hotel so it will be like between 100-150 per night and a little more in season. The second place I stayed was at a beach house on the Island of Anegada. This place was like fifty feet from the water and totally georgeous. This came up to like $1000 for a week. I loved it so much that we are planning on going back.If you are gonna go to Anegada, budget a little more for food (groceries or eating out).
Hope this helps. Good luck and congratulations.

Kihei, Maui Hawaii is an awesome place.. it is a bit more laid back... and there are condo's that are privately owned who rent out by the week.. now would be a good time to check on availability for that... costs for us were $1200/week at the condo... we cooked our own meals about 75% of the time so it wasnt too spendy that way.... and airline tickets would be the only other expense.
Kamole beaches were only 1/2 block from our condo... we could snorkle right off shore and see awesome stuff... and the weather was absolutely perfect all the time!

Just DON'T go to the Dominican!! It may be tempting cause it's the cheapest tropical island you can go to but it's a hell hole there. It's dirty and I got soo stinking ill due to the sewage in the water adn in the food... Oh it's awful.
Make sure your going to a eco friendly place!! I heard sandels is good.
Oh and we stayed in the most expensive place- the Hilton when were went there.

I would seriously suggest that you check out Guam. Your biggest cost will be your airfare. It is just as beautiful (if not moreso) than Hawaii and the Bahamas or Sandals, without all of the tourists. They have all of the shopping you could ever want to do, plus beautiful, very reasonable hotels that won't cost you an arm or a leg and duty free (tax free) shopping, as it is also home to a U.S. Navy base (my husband was stationed here for a time and he loved it). It is a U.S. territory, and so they use American money, speak English, drive on the same side of the road, ect.... All this plus you don't have to worry about the hassle of annoying tourists and there is tons to do here too! If you go to yahoo and do some searching on Guam, you'll be surprised at what you'll find! Congratulations and good luck to you! This is truly one of the most beautiful spots on Earth. I would definitely reccommend it.

You should look into Belize. We were going to go there, but we decided on a Disney honeymoon instead (which, by the way, was so much fun AND romantic!)

If you can afford it, check out Turtle Island in Fiji. My aunt went there, and she said that it was completely amazing.
However, this does cost money, at over 1000 bucks a night. Good luck!
