I'm trying to decide if I want corrective eye surgery, and if so what type. If you've had it or know someone who has, I'd appreciate your thoughts.

I had RK done over 17 years ago. The only problem I've had is that I now need reading glasses. It isn't the fault of the procedure, as those who had lasik also develop this problem as the eye ages.

I heard though that lasik is more accurate than RK. My vision after it was done was 20/20 and now it is 20/25 or 30.

So, go with what you can afford, but also remember that that you may need glasses anyway when you get older to read.
