About a year ago my cat had to be put to sleep, and I was there with him when it happened. I cried my heart out for about a week, but now I'm starting to have these awful dreams about him, and I miss him sooooo much!!! We used to spend so much time together, but my heart still feels broken no matter what I do.... One of my dreams made me wake up crying...>I was in my kitchen, and my dad was right next to me. He said he had skinned my cat (Tiny) and so he put Tiny's pelt around my shoulders. I started to cry and cry until my dad came home with a new cat with beautiful green eyes, so amazing and vivid and clear in my dream, I can't even describe them now. But the cat wasn't nearly as loving and wonderful as Tiny, and I just cried for what seemed like the rest of the dream, then I woke up. I have no idea why my dad would do something like that in my dreams, because I really have no problems with him. I feel like I can't live without Tiny, and I even write poems about him. Help! I'm sad...

please go to your nearest shelter and get a new kitty. tiny may not be there with you in body but he is with you in spirit. he loved you and would want you to give that love to another kitty and not be so sad. you won't ever forget him, he'll always be in your heart. it was on 2-8-07 we had to put our baby to sleep. i cried and grieved to the point of being sick. the vet had told us there are so many kittys in the shelters that need good loving homes. another at won't be the same but will help fill the emptyness the house feels without tiny. i know that it's hard to think of lovving another cat, when you go look, let the cat pick you. we went out the 10th of feb.looking for a female cat. no one felt right. on the 11th the last place we looked was petsmart. they let animal shelters bring in pets for adoption. there in a small cage was a male maine coon mix. we held him, he cuddled up to both my husband and myself. hen they put him back in the cage and the lock clicked he let out a little meow that sounded like"no". we had them put a hold on him. went back mon.the 12th,while i was paying for him,he eard my husbands voice and sat straight up looking for him. as i try to type my response i have a 9 mth old kitten in my lap wrapped around my right hand. so please, go to your local shelter and look around. it is a win win situation. you get a new furry companion and save his/her life in exchange for purrs, cuddles and kitty attention. in my case a cat works better than my zoloft. if you need to talk to me,please e-mail me. i hope you feel better soon

When we lost our dog, ( I know it is not a cat, but it is still just as important ) we were very depressed. After maybe a week we decided we needed another pet, so we got a cat. I think you should get another cat, or dog, or just some other pet. I am even suggesting you don't get another cat because then it may make you think more about Tiny. So maybe get a guinea pig or something. Otherwise if you really want to get another cat then go for it. maybe a kitten so it will be there for you longer then a cat. Best of luck! Hope you are feeling not as sad soon!

*Hope I helped*

I'm sorry for your loss of your cat. As for those dreams-they are nightmares-please don't worry about Tiny-he is in a better place. And resting. I don't know how old you are, but maybe you could talk to your dad about getting you another cat. Like from a shelter. I wish you the best. Take care.

Part of the problem is that you will not let it go. Writing poems about him is going to constantly put his impression back into your brain, making it harder and harder to get over it. That said, losing a cat is difficult, so don't feel too badly. Lots of people go through this.

I recommend writing him a letter saying good-bye, then burn the letter to "send" it to him. In the letter tell your cat you love him, you miss him, but it is time to move on. Wish him well wherever he is, and say good-bye! Then stop writing poems and doing things that remind you of him and keep yourself occupied. Whenever you feel sad, instead of dwelling on it, go find something to do that you enjoy. Keep busy!

And, if at all possible, ask your parents for a new cat. Other cats ARE loving and wonderful. You'll never forget Tiny, but you will move on in your life quickly with someone else to share your days with. Lots of cats are in need, and you can help!

I am so sorry for your loss of sweet Tiny. Writing out your feelings, and talking them over with your friends and family is a really good start. I miss every animal I've ever lost, and have thought that I couldn't be happy ever again without them. The pain lessens, I assure you, and I am certain that all the years of joy these pets gave me outweighs the pain I feel at their loss. Also, there are so many cats out there who are loving and in need of your love. None of them are Tiny, but all of them need you. Take care, and try to move on.

Well first of all sorry for your loss...our lives are made up with who we spend it with, the people who love us and people like myself and seemingly you who love their pets dearly, the sad thing is that you will probably never get a same cat like tiny ever again, but that is human we have emotions we love and we loose those we love even those we don't love,we have to deal with our emotions and i am sorry that this is taking you so long to get over with but hang in there, you should be very grate full and thank God for actually giving tiny to you to have as a pet, just imagine what your life would have been if you never have gotten tiny, you should believe that he is save where he is now chasing butterfly's in green grass fields purring at the feet of Moses and David who is looking after him for you until your job on earth is finished, you should remember the good loving live you shared with tiny and make sure you get to him someday where he is waiting for you....once again sorry for your loss, hope you feel better soon and i will put in a prayer for you and tiny!

Hey, take it easy, i know for sure that we might not cry over a person the way we do over a pet !! because pets especially cats are helpless and they always seem babies to us, i know exactly how you feel, and it hurts like hell, i guess i won't be able to ever stop crying over the death of my cat, sadly the only solution if sadness didn't go , is to get another cat, maybe baby cat is better, coz she or he will need you and you will be so ready and glad to take care of her. you may scream and cry more that you want Tiny not another cat right now, i know and it's so painful, it's alright , give your self a time, and get another kitten, step by step you will become rational about your sorrow and you will see that although cats have different peronalities, they however have many same qualities, i asure you you will be happy again with your new kittin, you won't forge Tiny but you only will have another one. if you happen to get another one, please name him or her Ezzo.
i really hope i helped. be happy soon.

I'm very sorry for your loss. You might try being a volunteer at the local human society. You could become friends with other cat lovers, have fun playing with animals that need your love and maybe one day you will find that special cat to bring home. You will both know when it's right. Good luck to you.

Sweetheart you really should think about getting another cat. I had to put my cat to sleep and it nearly killed me, I could cry now just thinking about it and it happened 5 years ago. I got another cat and he made me feel so much better. I know you can never replace Tiny but trust me,it will help you.
