Where are you planning on going? Last year the snow was great in the Alps (Austria) at that time. This year, it's been too warm and no good powder. If they close on the 22nd, there's probably going to be a bunch of ice and slush. I would go earlier.

depends entirely on where you are going. Normally in the Lake Tahoe area I would say that is some of the most fun skiing. Nice and warm, men without shirts, girls in bikini tops, clear blue skies. We need some more snow first. It has been a very odd year for snow and snow packs are quite low right now. It rained at lake level during the last storm a week ago.

Normally it is quite slushy in Tahoe.

Depends on where you go snowboarding!! Where I go, spring skiing/snowboarding is hit and miss. I went late in the season once, and the snow was terrible- ended up scratching the hell out of my board. BUT, like I said, if you live somewhere where the snow is still good, then go for it!

in case you're open to going to whistler would definately propose it. I truthfully have been to diverse ski aspects in the rockeis, alta, snowbird, taos, breckenridge, aspen they have been all sturdy yet my favourite mountain has been whistler because of the fact it is so massive and has lots multiple terrain, and in the spring whistler nevertheless gets dumped on. in case you nevertheless prefer to snowboard in the rockies i'd propose snowbird.
