Ok, I recently heard that milk and bananas have sleep inducing/relaxent chemicals. But we see them alot in breakfast. Like mostly in cereals or milkshakes. Now isnt breakfast supposed to wake you up and get you through the day? So isnt it bad to have sleep inducing or relaxant chems? Your thoughts, comments, opinions?

We went from banana to turkey. And the comments about the turkey are true but, have no bearing in this discussion.
That being said, keep eating the bananas and milk. They're both good for you. And you are in no danger of falling asleep.

Bananas arent high in calories, lol. A banana is only 110 calories, not much at all. A healthy dinner should be 400-550 calories, unless your on a strict diet, than 350-450 wow your diet is extremely rich in fruit, which is good. You can certainly can eat them for dinner. But ya'know, why not make it into a dessert, which can be saved for another day? (a dessert wont kill you) You can make banana bread, muffins, pancakes, etc. Or simply freeze the bananas, for a yummy simple natural dessert. If you really want a smoothies, I would add some nuts or flax seed oil for the omega 3s and nutrition. Not to be critical, but your dinners are pretty dessert-y I would eat a normal dinner (pasta, stirfry, rice&beans etc) and I would make the bananas into a dessert, fruit is good, but way too much fruit (the 6 servings a day your suggesting if you go for the smoothie) is a little too much for your digestive system to handle.

I love bananas on my Cheerios, of course with milk. Milk has tryptophan (the sleep inducing agent) when it's heated, so no issue with cold milk in your breakfast cereal.

Where in heck did you hear this? I doubt it is true, at least, not in any significant sense. Take turkey, for example. It is commonly thought that turkey at Thanksgiving makes you drowsy, but this is untrue. It is true that turkey contains tryptophan, but it is in such small doses that it has no effect on an adult person. You'd have to eat the entire turkey yourself for it to make you sleepy. What really makes you sleepy is eating too much and building up too many carbs in your body all at once. You don't tell where you got your milk and banana information, so I can't question it 100% certainly, but I'd be willing to bet that the question is similar to the turkey question.
