After you got married? Did you take your honeymoon right afterwards or did you wait some time?

My husband and I got married on a Friday. We both went back to work on Monday. We had to wait for our honeymoon because we're both in college and got married in the beginning of the school semester. We got married in October and took our honeymoon in May.
P.S. Married for 3 1/2 years and still going strong!!

Got married on a sat. back to work on the following Wed. Because my supervisor. was a pain and would not give me any time off. We waited about 2 years before we took our honeymoon.
Married 7 1/2 years.

After I got married I had already booked time off for my honeymoon (they knew about a year in advance, so wasn't a big deal). Now that I'm planning a second marriage, I can say that no, I'll not be booking time off of work for a honeymoon. Maybe a long weekend, but definitely not any large length of time.

We're planning to go on our honeymoon right after the wedding. I would have liked to wait a few days, but we found a great deal to Cancun but the flight has to leave the next morning! No staying up late at the reception. We did both schedule two weeks off - we'll be away for a week and home for a week. I think it's important to take that time for ourselves after all the planning and stressing we're (I'm) doing!

I went back to work 8 days after I got married. We went on our honeymoon right after the wedding on Saturday and came home the following Sunday. I went back to work on Monday.

We are getting married on Saturday, leaving for Jamaica on Sunday, will be back that Friday night.
I get Sunday & Monday off anyway. I took the Friday before my wedding off & I won't return until the Tuesday after I return from my honeymoon.

We got married on a Saturday. I took the two days before the wedding and the week after off. We left for our honeymoon on Sunday, the day after the wedding, and returned very late on Thursday night. We had our family over for cake and to watch us open gifts on Friday, and attended my friend's wedding on Saturday (one week after our wedding).

Due to an illness in the family, my honeymoon was postponed for a year. We finally got to go on our first anniversary. I still took the week off and did stuff aroundthe house.

Due to the fact that I couldn't get any vacation time at the time I got married. I took time off later and went right back to work after the weekend.

No honeymoon... I was teaching, so we got married the end of July and I had til the end of August.
