I know I need counseling and all that and I have began going to see a professional counselor but, I don't feel like it's going to help I know that I need something or someone to help me and I am willing to accept it but I don't think that anyone can help me. I have been constantly thinking of suicide lately just so I can end the pain that I am constantly in, but, in actuality, I really don't think I want to die I just feel as if so many things have gone wrong and I've made so many mistakes that things cannot be fixed. I already know how I would do it but, I really don't want to resort to that but I just don't feel like anything can help me, I am being totally serious. I've tried calling those crisis lines and suicide lines and talking to people but none of that helps. I just want everything to stop.

If this is being caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain, then you might need medication to complement the counselling. No amount of talking will counteract the chemistry in your body!

Talk to your doctor and let her (or him) know what is going on with how you are feeling. There should be some short-term medication options that will get you back on track, and the counselling will help you to process the anxiety and remorse.

Give yourself 6 months to explore this option. You might find it is the best thing you could do for yourself.

Good luck!

I don't know how old you are--but if you are old enough to move to another city/state, I would do it. Of course your problems don't end with moving, you'd still need counseling, etc., but you would meet new people and do new things.

If you are young, perhaps you could change schools, and meet new friends. Again, you would still need to continue counseling.

You absolutely need some antidepressants to stop these suicidal thoughts--but if you are younger than your mid-20s they may work in reverse. You can talk to your counselor or to your MD about antidepressants.

It is the counseling/therapy that gets to the root of why you are so depressed--so you need to keep going.

I would suggest that you go to the library, and take out some self-help books. I would recommend that you walk outdoors in the daytime every day, and get some other form of exercise as well (these things really do help you feel better about yourself).

When you feel "those" thoughts coming on, you should meditate. If you don't know how, the library also has books on how to practice meditation.

Are you eating right? When you're not, a lot of problems of the physical and mental nature can occur. You could be lacking some important vitamins/minerals/nutrients.

I wish you well, and hope that you will try some of the things I have suggested--why? Because that's what it took for me to get over my depression--in addition to counseling and medicine.

Have you gone to the doctor? Did something trigger this? Do you feel like anything will make it better?

I know how bad it can get. How horribly painful life can be - but suicide is a very permanent solution to what are usually very temporary problems.

I know the urge to turn off all of the noise and the pain and the madness. I know that urge. I feel it all the time - but if you can think of one reason to stay alive. ONE reason, then focus on that reason. Until you get to the next reason.

I know that it feels awful. I know that nothing feels like it will ever work out the way you want it to - but that is not true. Whatever pain you have - you are strong enough to get through it. The fact that you are asking for help shows that you have not given up yet. Whatever is keeping you from giving up - focus on that.

And call a doctor ASAP. Know that it will get better.

First find out why you want to die, make a list of why you want to and dont. Suicide is a serious thing that cant be undone. Find someone you trust to talk to. Maybe they can help you. If you are constantly thinking about suicide, maybe you are depressed. Anti Depressants may help your situation. Stop thinking about killing yourself. I'm sure you have a ton of friends and family that loves you. Go talk to someone. Best of luck.

God only gives you what you can handle! Think about this...
If these things cannot be fixed because it was hurtful to another person then tell them you are sorry, make amends. If that is not possible or doesn't fit the situation try to forgive yourself. Start fresh, change the behaviors that you think are wrong, we all have things we regret doing and possibly are unable to fix. Just do the next right thing, it gets better.

of depression and you may not be aware(although you counselor
should have picked up on this) ask about either cymbalta or zoloft

THIS MAY BE A CLINICAL CONDITION DUE TO A CHEMICAL IMBALANCE IN THE BRAIN. TO GET HELP SEE A PSYCHIATRIST WHO CAN PRESCRIBE THE CORRECT MEDICATION.
