The credit agencies won't do anything if you mail a receipt in. They go by what the creditor tells them.

You can get the addresses for them when you pull your free credit report from www.AnnualCreditReport.com. You can also dispute items on that site.

What you need to do is contact the credit bureaus by phone and get the information that you need to fax over to them with a cover letter. Usually you need a copy of your Driver's License and Social Security card and a copy of proof of whatever you want removed. Faxing is the safest way. Be sure to note that it will not be removed from your account for approximately 30-60 days from when they receive your letter.
