am 19 and ive been lifting wights, i just wanna know if it can make me shorter because i really like my hight and dont wanna make it shorter.

Not unless you damage the discs between your vertebrae and cause them to rupture. Even that wouldn't result in a significant loss of height, just a fraction, and you'd have other problems (like pain) that would concern you more. That's unlikely in a young person, unless you really do the lifting wrong.

It does not actually make you shorter, but it prevents you from growing to your full potential. So if you start lifting weights at age 8 (or 12 or w/e), you will stunt your growth and grow little from then on.

i think it will if ur under 18 but ur 19 its over i mean normally u keep getting taller until 18 after 18 thats it n am sure u wont get shorter from now on

It wont make you shorter, it gives you muscle.
