That sounds like it could be a cherry eye or a tear in the eye itself. That is something that only a vet can fix. You do not want to put human eye drops into a dogs eyes. The ph levels are different & can damage the eye. Plus, you don't know what's wrong & may actually cause the dog to lose it's eye. An eye injury can deteriorate within a few days to cause blindness. I would get it checked out asap. Working as a vet tech, besides the 'normal' emergencies, eyes & ears were the 2 things we handled that day whether we had time or not.

No!! Do not put drops in your dog's eye. Eyes are nothing to fool around with - he needs to get to the vet to have it checked out. The most you can put in it is water, in case there's something in there that can be flushed out, but with a bulging eye, sounds like he needs the vet ASAP.

Yes you can,but you shouldn't try to put eye drops in the eye yourself without consulting a vet first. It could be a problem and at the sound of it it sounds like something that would need stitches to keep it in place and not like something that could be fixed just by eye drops.Go see a vet.

I had a dog with an eye problem once, and the vet told me to use the antibacterial ointment on the eye. Its stays on longer. But if I were you, I would call a Vet for advice.

Never put human eye drops in your dog's eye. Only the kind the vet prescribes. You can damage his eye if you use our kind.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but just tilt the dog's head up, and drop the drops in the eye. Lift the upper lid a bit, if necessary.
