Well it probably wasn't even throw up.Animals have two kinds of throwing up,one is called regurgitation, which means the food exits before reaching the stomach and the other is called emesis/vomiting.It is very common that animals re-eat the "product" of regurgitation cause it has no stomach enzymes on it,so it smells and tastes just like normal food. Also cats often regurgitate while coughing up hairballs,it is also common to re-eat the food around the hairball. If this happened once, there is no need to worry it is normal to eat this and the cat won't have any problem. But if the cat regurgitates very often, like every time after he eats there is a medical problem,it could be something in the oral cavity(his mouth) or his esophagus so get him to the vet.But if it's just this once, don't worry, there's nothing wrong with him!

One time I was over my friend house. It had to have been 10 years ago. Anyway, her cat would always throw up and one time, we were on her trampoline and we saw the cat throw up. We got worried but then her cat ate it! It was gross. And then she would repeat the same process. Throw up. Eat it. Throw up. Eat it. I met up with her about a week ago with the help of classmates.com and I asked her Twix was doing after those DISGUSTING accidents and she said Twix was better than EVER! I was so amazed! My point is, your cat is just being a cat! Hope this helped!

No, he won't get sick. He may have hairballs and threw that up. Cats eat a lot of hair while cleaning themselves and sometimes it gets cloged up and they trow it up. You may want to look at it next time & see if it has hair in it. They sell hairball remedy that can fix that problem pretty easily. Also sometimes cats will "gorge" eat too much and throw up, If it becomes a habbit, limit the food to two smaller meals a day. Good luck!

He will be fine. A lot of cats do this because they like their enviorment to be clean, so he cleaned it up himself. He will not get sick from doing this, but you might want to take him to the vet to see why he threw up in the first place. Keep an eye on him to see if it happens again. Sometimes cats throw just because they're sick, but other times they throw up because of change of food, a stomach flu, or worms.

Cats have touchy digestive systems and often throw up. He ate is own throw up because it still looked and smelled like food to him. If he continues to throw up without eating or something like that then you might want to take him to the vet. Eating is throw up is not going to kill him. It is kinda gross, but sometimes animals do gross things.
For example sometimes dogs eat their own poop. Pretty gross, but it won't kill them.
Perhaps you should change his diet if he continues to throw up or sometimes cats throw up because of hairballs. You could purchase a hairball remedy to help with this.
Hope this helps!

Well, it doesn't mean its going to die.... but seriously.... when you see you're cat throw up, take it somewhere else than where it is. Give it tons of water to get it out of the system. (the throw up) and be sure to remember that every body throws up. It doesn't mean that the cat is sick.

Many cats do this. I guess they didn't digest it as well the first time. It is quite common as gross as it seems. I've never known of a cat getting sick from it. However, they may already be really sick from something else. you may want to call a vet.

My cat has done this before, but his throw up was all cat food and he started re-eating it. It is gross but he was fine, he didn't get sick. Sometimes cats do gross things like that.

Thats normal, though disgusting behavior for an animal. Dogs love to eat poop, their and others. Cats tend to stick with just their vomit. Nasty but normal.
Good luck! :)

This is totally normal for cats or dogs. Don't worry, if there was anything in there that would hurt him he would not eat it again. I know this is gross to us, but it is OK in the animal world.
