I have around 5,000 on two cards each one at 3.9 and one at 4.9%. I have one more card with 5000 at 10%. I would like to get that at a low fixed rate. What is the best way to ask for that on the other two cards without paying transfer fees.

Call the issuers of the cards with the low fees and ask them if they can give you a no-fee balance transfer.

I got a 0% for 12 months no transfer fees from bank of america
1800 732 9194.
my credit is not that good (my card that i was transfering FROM was 23% interest) so i think EVERYONE has a chance.
the only thing that they lied about was the 60 second application.
took about 4 days for approval (via mail)
another cool thing was that I took the transfer late in the month so it was like having one month of NO payments (old card due on 22nd, paid it with transfer on the 21st so that was paid off and the new card was not due until the 24 of the next month so there was the month where i had to pay NOTHING! THis helped to get me caught up on other stuff!)

Call the high rate card company. Tell them you have received an offer from a different company and a lower rate (you probably have). Ask them to match it. If they won't, pay the fee to transfer the balance.

I would recommend you get a 0% interest on balance transfers card (you will always pay a fee, usually 3%) and move those other balances.

It would still be cheaper than 3.9% - 10%, and it doesn't compound monthly.
