A lot of men love getting involved, but either don't know where to begin or aren't asked to help ... there is a lot to do so there is no reason not to ask your man to help out!! A lot of guys enjoy picking the caterer, baker and band or DJ (whichever you choose to use). I would suggest giving your man the option of tuxedoes and attire for the men. Not such much in the color department, but more along the style lines. Have fun!!!!

It is totally dependant on the guy. However, lots of the weddings that I have planned, have had the guy in charge of looking after DJ/Band. Some guys want to be involved in everything, others don't want to do any of the planning.

I don't know what kind of question this but I know if I got married I would want to involved in the plans, but the problem is I'm afraid that my wife to be will be like the rest of women who think it's their wedding alone.

Here what he'll want input on
1. Food
2. Booze
3. Music
Men could care less about flowers, napkins and all the details so just involve him with the stuff YOU know he'll care about.
My FI loved picking out the wedding cake since he got to eat a ton of cake :)

Most men do not like to have anything to do with wedding planning. They just do not care about stuff like the color of the napkins and if they match the table cloth. What I did was give him things to do that were not too demanding or overly feminine.I had him pick out music with the DJ, had him locate a podium and that sort of stuff.Give him stuff to do that he will not mind doing.

They usually like to be involved, but we (the lady) end up doing all the planning and decision making.

I just got engaged, and here are my thoughts:
There are a few things that I care about quite a bit -- location, date, presiding officer, and music (because music is important to me). With these things, I want to be intimately involved in the decisionmaking. There are some things that I care about slightly -- like size of party, whether we serve food or appetizers, bar options, whether we have customized vows. These I'd like to be consulted on, but if I don't win, I don't care (except if it makes the wedding prohibitively expensive). The rest of the stuff I don't care at all -- flowers (I have preferences, but who am I to say), dresses/outfits, gifts for the wedding party, order we march in, how she does her hair, etc. If she wants to tell me what she's chosen, fine. If she wants my opinion, fine, I'll give it, but if she doesn't want my opinion (or if she doesn't like my opinion and rejects it) that's fine, too.
Ask your fiance if there are any details that he cares about specifically. There may be one or two (maybe it's family--that his mom gets a special mention at the ceremony, or maybe it's location, that he wants to do it outdoors, etc.) but I'm guessing he'll be like me.

my hubby took care of the "manly" stuff and did a good job... learning from other wedding, i saw that the brides were too controlling and didnt give the men room to make any decisions... so i told my husband that he was responsible for his entourage and the invitations... he took care of everything without me having to nag at him because i let him do things the way he wanted... it was his wedding too! :)

My fiance has personally been about zero help. He really just isn't concerned with it, i know its not cuz he doesn't love me, he just doesn't care what color napkins we have! lol! Sometimes its great to have free reign, but their are times when I have really needed his help on things and its been near impossible to get it, but I do know a girl whose fiance wanted to be in on EVERYTHING! they had this massive fight while they were registering for a ladel that was hilarious!
