All the answers you have received are true. However you have the final answer on all this. You cannot let someone step all over your dignity. You have to speak up and let him know that you will no longer tolerate such. You deserve to be respected in all aspects of the word. It takes two in a relationship - 50/50. And communication and trust is a must for a relationship to be long term.

Because you allow him to. If you showed him there were consequences for his action, i.e. you leave him, then he would hopefully choose to make better decisions. If you let him get away with it over and over again then he will keep doing it. Think of him as a 5 yr old that keeps getting into the cookie jar,,,until you slap his hand for doing it, he will keep doing it.

Sometimes they just can't trust you because maybe you did something that you shouldn't have done. Or maybe your go out with boyfriends who are jerks and you should get your act together and go out with some one who is nice and doesn't lie.

He feels that hes getting away with it, and hes not going to stop. The only way for you to not get lied to by him is to leave him. I had a b/f for almost 5 years, and thats all our relationship was like, then when I finally left, he kept calling me whining and crying but it was too late. he drove me into hating him. and if you let this continue then thats how it could end up for yall.

We men are just bigger versions of boys. We always hated emotional conflicts...we perfer physical ones instead. Cause we're guys and we're more affaid of your initial response of the truth, so we lie to advoid emotional conflicts with our girlfriends to keep the peace. Sometimes it works and you girls never find out...but then sometimes we get caught in our lies and its worse.

if he has to lie to u then that should tell you some thing. how can u trust him. you relationship should always be open. and he will keep lyin to you as long as you except it. thats not a good relatinship. my ex used to lie to me but i sisnt kno til i caught him so that was done yea but if he lies then hes covering up some thing, cheating, and doesnt want you to kno. maybe he has lost intrest but soesnt kno how to tell u>
