If you're talking about what looks like an angled line above the door, it is a small gutter like device to direct light rain and moisture away from the door.
Agents align the jetway by making the floor of the jetway approximately the same level as the bottom of the door opening. They don't use the line you are referring to.

A couple of correct answers here, yes it's a rain gutter for when the aircraft is on the ground, not anything to do with lining up airbridges or service vans. It just does that simple little job of moving the rain away from the doorway, otherwise it would run into the weather seal and sit at the bottom of the door causing corrosion.
Simple but effective!

They are used as guides when attaching airbridges/airstairs or when other service vehicles are joining up to the aircraft.

They are strengthened strips to prevent damage to the aircraft fueslage and to show the dispatcher or technician how high they should place the connecting ramp.

I think what your referring to is a rain gutter. When your at the gate and the walkway is moved up to the plane it will redirect the rain away from the entrance door

srry, but do you mean the angled lines above the door? your question is somewhat vague.
