Here's a question asked by the book of Proverbs, according to the Message Translation.
People ruin their lives by their own stupidity,
so why does God always get blamed?
Proverbs 19:3 (The Message Translation)
What is your opinion?

Jean....thanks for the KJV version, but to me the KJV is not very easy to understand, and this is a good example why. What does God mean by the fretteth stuff?
I don't "fretteth"; I worry, I do stupid things, but fretteth???!!! lol

Some people think that life is supposed to be easy. It's not ! Life is supposed to be a challenge. When peoples lives become difficult they feel like they need to blame someone so they choose to blame God.

Proverbs 19:3 KJV
The foolishness of man perverteth his way,
and his heart fretteth against the Lord.
The fool perverts (corrupts, debases, distorts) his way,
and his heart frets against the Lord.
It is the same as saying "If man does what he thinks is right is his own eyes his path is destruction." Man will eventually not withhold anything from himself and he will self destruct.
WE NEED THE LORD DESPERATELY.

God gets the blame because people do not want to accept responsibility for their own actions.

Well if someone is so stupid that they have ruined their lives, they are probably also too stupid to take responsibilty for their actions, and also probably stupid enough to believe in and blame invisible super-beings with magic powers.

I think it's right on, but I like the other translations better. I also think He is blamed only by those who don't know Him. God bless.

Well, I agree that people get them selves into trouble, but I do not blame God. I don't believe he exists.

No one ruins their life.
Everything that happens to us is a gift from the source and all of it can help us on our spiritual path.

This is a no-brainer. If you mandate 'blind faith' to the exclusion of deductive reasoning, you are responsible for the resultant stupidity.
