Because it is a way for us to relieve sexual tension without becoming sexual with another human being is there really harm in it? If a wife found out that her husband was stroking himself instead of another women wouldn't that be better? Could it not be viewed as massaging yourself? If you don't think impure thoughts about another human being while doing it is it still a sin? If the sexual stress is just too great it may cause someone to be promiscuous or even rape(ugly thought) :( Or is it only bad when you use certain sex toys? I really would like to hear from you. Tell me what you think.I don't want to do the wrong thing but I don't want to cheat either...

Well according to Christian Ideology it is:

Matthew 5:27-30 "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away."

~Pay attention to the last sentence of that verse. This is how I see it though if you need to masturbate to relieve yourself and abstain from sex then you do that. Labeling certain actions as sin is always up for interpretation though.

Yes mastarbation is a sin. It probably is made a sin due to some valid medical reason. Mastarbation affects your whole system. Even though it is a sin, I still do it. My personal experiences keep telling me that I should have avoided it . It makes you lazy, affects your thinkiing capabilities. It used to make me moody at times. Throughout my education career, I mastarbated. There was one time I mastarbated a lot which almost made me flunk some of the exams. The more you do it, the more you get addicted to it. I still do it but I am trying to cut it out and keep it as controlled as possible. It affected my sex life. People should try staying away from this habit. To control they should try fasting. If I could go back and fix all the things I screwed through mastarbation I would love it. But you cant go back. So try staying away from it

yes. We can infer this because of two things
1) it makes us unclean
2) it is a voluntary action.
if we look at it in context it we can find its severity. the verses above it deals with the result of getting an std, which as you know usually comes from being promiscuous. Beneath those verses it deals with menstruation, which a biological function the woman has no control over, and therefore cannot be a sin. so although it is a sin, in one sense it can almost be seen as being natural.

I'll tell you what's a sin, it's insisting that every drop of semen is used to produce a baby that somebody maybe doesn't really want. Go whack away. Get it out of your system. You'll think more clearly.....

masturbation is not directly a sin. BUT it is basicly impossible to masturbate without lusting. even if your thinking about a pic of some boobs or some other porno pic your still lusting. and the Bible specifically labels lust as a sin.

I don't see why it would be. What's the harm in it?

yes it is sexual immorality. God told us to be clean and pure. masturbation is not clean and pure.
