I asked if I could have one in my will they said no. Perhaps I should put one on a pace-maker that goes off and splashes holy water on me when my heart stops.

I hate to burst your bubble on the subject, but there is no such thing as a "Death Bed Conversion." The Bible gives no mention or example of in all of scripture, particularly in the New Testament. Those who accepted Jesus Christ and were saved did the exact same thing in the Bible. Jesus told his disciples to, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. He that believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:15-16)." From that you can see that one needs to hear and believe the gospel and be baptized in order to be saved. On the birthday of the church, the Day of Pentecost, Peter spoke the first gospel sermon and, as a result, almost three thousand souls were convicted and asked what were they to do about their situation. Peter answered, "Repent and be baptized, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins (Acts 2:38)." The bible goes on and says, "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized; and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls (Acts 2:41)." Nine other examples can be found in the book of Acts showing that everyone that came to Jesus Christ did the same thing: they heard, believed, repented of their sins, confessed Jesus Christ to be the Son of God, and were baptized for the remission of their sins.
2.The Samaritans (Acts 8:5-13)
3.Ethiopean Eunuch (Acts 8:26-39)
4.Saul of Tarsus (Acts 9:1-18)
5.Cornelius and his household (Acts 10:1-47)
6.Lydia (Acts 16:13-15)
7.The Philippian Jailer (Acts 16:25-34)
8.The Corinthians (Acts 16:24-28)
9.Apollos (Acts Chapter 18-Chapter 19:11)
10.The Ephesians (Acts 19:1-5)
Note that none of these scriptures even hint that someone uttered the "Sinner's Prayer," or any other prayer, in order to receive salvation, but they all did the same thing to receive the same thing. They all became the same thing: a Christian (Acts 11:26), nothing more, nothing less, and nothing else but a Christian.
Those who advocate the "Death Bed Conversion" are the same ones who believe that one can be saved by "faith only." Read the above examples and determine for yourself what is truth. The "Sinner's Prayer" doctrine didn't come about until the late 1700's-1800s (go to www.bible.ca for more information on the subject), and anyone who wishes to believe that God operates in this way are clinging to a false hope. Today is the day for salvation. Why try and wait until the last minute to get right with God, seeing that you have no idea where death or judgment is?
Find a Church of Christ (Matthew 16:18; Romans 16:16) if one is in your area and inquire about what you've been told. Don't take the chance of waiting until the last minute to get your soul right! Do it now!!

Just make sure you have catholic friends or family who can pray for penance after you die. That way if you find that you are in a pinch and can't get repentance in on time you are still covered.
I am thinking of selling a repentance/penance bracelet on eBay that will let people know to give up a little prayer for me in case of an accident, Do you think it will sell?

You have to do Gods will to make it to heaven.that means you have to ask the spirit of God into you. ask of it what to do in your life. listen for the answers then do as best you can Gods will for you .so you figure that out for yourself as to how long that will take,. everyone is different.
Jesus said that all that call upon my name will NOT be saved, ONLY those that do my fathers will ,will make it to heaven.so I don't think asking the spirit into you at the last minute will be sufficient,I really don't know of course.it depends on your heart. You HAVE to be linked to the spirit for it to take you to heaven. If I threw you a line while you were floating down a river to a huge waterfall were you would probably die if you went off it, and you said up yours, and refused the line , then that's your way of handling the situation, its your free will do do so.Its all up to you what you do with your soul..That's between you and God and his spirit.I never try to get people to think my way.I just live life the best way I can in the spirit. But I do wish you the best though, I hope you do make it to heaven, if you dont ask for the guidance of the spirit of God your not going to heaven.because the spirit CAN'T take you if your not linked to it.Its is so very simple, you ask with faith and love for the spirit to come into you and guide and direct your life and you try to do Gods will, as best you can, so very simple a thing to do.and it means so much to your eternal soul,I wonder why people denie the spirit.of course I wonder why people do so many things they do.and not do whats truly right for them to do.
Good Luck.

Seconds. But don't wait for your deathbed. Death takes you like a thief in the night. My great uncle just died in his sleep. He did not know he was going to die. No chance for a deathbed conversion there.

It is not that simple.
You must feel in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and you repent those sins- and that only by the grace of God will you enter heaven .
