Working, studying and staying up late takes its toll on a staudent with a full-time job. What are some effective ways to combat fatigue if you don't have enough time in the day or night to receive proper rests? Of course without using caffene or prescription drugs. All those substances leave toxins in your body systems.

From one student to the next, I'd like to pass on some of the things I've done to survive university. I used to fall asleep in class quite often and it was beginning to bother me, but I haven't missed a beat lately and here's what I've been doing:

1. Try your best to sleep the same amount every night. I know this can be tough when you're juggling tons of things in your life but it is doable. I'm not saying to get 8hrs of sleep, because that's just not possible sometimes but I get the same 6 to 6.5 hrs of sleep every night (12am to 6am) every night and it really helps. Being on this sleep schedule helps me wake up full of energy as if I did sleep 8 hours.

2. Have a proper diet. I eat breakfast no matter what, I absolutely need it to function. Your body needs the energy in the morning to make up from all the hours of sleep where you didn't take any nutrients in asides what's already been consumed. Avoid heavy meals for lunch, I found it hard to stay awake in classes after lunch so I started eating a little lighter but made up for it between classes and during breaks.

3. Plan out what you need to do. I find jotting down my next day before going to bed helps prepare me for it and I feel less exhausted by the whole thing. If I know something's coming, I have time to prepare for it mentally. Also, planning things out in advance saves me some time and I tend to have more free time than I realize.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

I would suggest drinking plenty of water to keep you body hydrated and walking at least 20-30 min a day. B- complex is really good. Take it with a good multi vitamin- multi-mineral supplement. I also like Emergen C the powdered supplement that you mix in water.

You may need to see you doctor and have blood work done to determine if your fatigue is a sign of a medical problem.

Some of the green flavored green teas have light caffeine but they still give a great pick me up during the day.

I understand that you are concerned about toxins in your body. It is great to keep going and get plenty accomplished but the body needs proper rest. Please be just as concerned about the impact that lack of rest has on the body. It is just a dangerous if not worse.

I recommend that you take whole food supplement Vitamin called Alive! This stuff is great. Whenever I forget to take them, my body knows it. I don't feel nearly as energized. Also, since I've been on this supplement I haven't gotten sick. A few months ago, everyone in my whole office was sick with an awful cold and I was the only person to not get it. It's a little expensive, $50 for 3 months supply but it is definitely worth it.

I've heard that if you drink a glass of cold water or eat an apple in the morning, it's better than a cup of coffee. Of course, exercise to circulate the body and mind always helps.

Protein helps to keep you energized and alert. Eat some with every meal and you'll have more energy. Sugar causes fatigue, so avoid it.

90 days. But then again... the constitution states we must have a formal declaration of war. There has been no declaration in Iraq, Afghanistan, or any other nation from the U.S. since the end of WWII. Which means all military excursions were illegal and every president from Truman forward should have been impeached.

Well you can incorporate an hour of exercise into your day. Nothing strenuous...a long walk would suffice or riding a bike. You may also want to increase your vitamin c intake.
