My family start to 'go grey' prematurely too. You would not believe the compliments we all get for our 'salt and pepper' hair. I got tired of dyeing my hair. It felt unnatural to do so and it was messy. After a while I just started letting it do its own thing so to speak.
I love my hair now and it looks more natural than a hair color. Further, there are health implications to colored hair that I simply don't want to deal with at all.
Natural does it and I like that your husband is on board. Sounds like a cool guy who loves you alot. A real keeper!
The only thing about grey hair is that it sometimes 'yellows' be sure to take care of your grey with professional products.Enjoy!

Honestly..from here on down, it ain't gonna get any better but worse. Some people age gracefully some don't. Your 40 years old, there is nothing wrong dying your hair to cover up the gray. And since you have little bit of wrinkles, dying your hair will turn back at least 5 years. There is gonna come a time, where dying your hair is not gonna be enough. So why not slow it down! We are young for such a short time, but old most of our life.

I have a friend that starting going gray at 20. She dyed it at first, then gave up and let it take its course. She has striking features and the dark gray hair really makes her stand out in a crowd. She's in her 30's now and I often have male friends who ask about her.
As long as you are happy with your look, stick with it. One can still look youthful and beautiful with gray hair.

it depends on the color gray it turns. the women in my family have the nasty gray that turns orange before it goes gray (eeewwyyy).
i am the same age and almost 50% gray. when i get tired of covering the gray completely i will use a semi- or demi- permantent color in a fairly light shade on it to blend it in. i have a natural level 3 (super dark brown - like dark chocolate) hair.

Gray or silver? Silver looks great on anyone, and gray on a younger woman doesn't look bad. But I must say that I prefer BALD above all. Maybe to get rid of the dye you could shave your head and start over.

It won't kill you if you leave it gray! I get gray hair from too much stress and it hasn't bothered me yet! But if you tired of it and want to have little fun then dye it black, otherwise don't stress it!

well i mean if youre comfortable with it than it would be totally fine.. just beware that obviously it might make you look older than you are (i dont know if that would bother you). Also if you decide to go the "au natural" route.. definitely make sure your hair has a cute short cut to complement your face... you dont want to be one of those ladies with long straggly grey hair... i dont think thats overly flattering. But overall i believe its how you hold yourself that makes you beautiful so just do whatever you feel the most comfortable with. good luck

We all go grey in different ways, and at different times.
There are few looks more individual than salt-and-pepper hair; for one thing, it's impossible to create artificially!
Of course, you could always go the other way, and have your hair made snow-white!
