putting on semi perm color really won't do much - since your hair is dark, it may need to be brought down several shades or even hi-lited - i wouldn't fool w/it myself - go to a salon & they can do a color correction for you

You can not use a lighter colored semi-permanent over a darker permanent color. It wont damage your hair, it just won't change the color. You can not go lighter with a semi-permanent, just the same (to cover grey) or darker.

Its not a good idea if you are going lighter. Try a temporary color conditioner, and if that isn't enough, add the shampoo too. Make sure they are of the same brand if you use both.

try making use of skinny Serum from Paul Mitchell. It takes purely a pair of drops to do wonders! and that i advise you trim your hair each and every couple of months, this is basically healthful and it will certainly shop the dry ends away longer :)

I always put dye on top of dye on top of dye. It doesn't seem to really matter, just don't use henna as it can react to the chemicals in the hairdye and change the colour. Although ive done this too, and nothing terrible happened to me!

I don't think you should do it. Anyway, go to a reputable salon and get professional advise.
