You ask a very good question about becoming more godly.
It may seem a trite answer, but faith in God will make you more pius. But, by faith I mean the following:
Faith commences with the conviction of the mind based on adequate evidence; faith continues in the confidence of the heart or emotions based on conviction, and faith is crowned in the consent of the will, by means of which the conviction and confidence are expressed in conduct.

Confidence of the heart
Consent of the will
Conduct of the body
As you can see from the above, faith affects the whole of a person's nature.

If you personally wish to become more godly, get out and do some good in the world!
God has no gender, it is just folks who need to give form to make the whole concept more understandable.
God is the creative life force, the energy that fires the nerves and urges the bees to make honey. God is the force that supplies the spark so that our hearts beat and our veins pump blood. God is the instinct that drives millions of animals to hibernate or fly south.God is the energy you expend when you mate, just as God is in the cells that reproduce to create a child.
If you can put a beard on that, go for it!

Read your Bible, and be obedient, and pray. You can become more godly by doing what God wants you to do. Not what everyone else wants. When we take on the fruit of spirits, and follow the way Jesus lived then we will become more godly.

What is this wanting to be more Godly?
I don't understand this.
How can you be wanting to be something you don't have any idea about?
I think to try to find out more about God would be a better thing to do.

You can become more Godly by opening your mind and your heart to the love and mercy of the one true God, and to salvation of your eternal soul thru His Son, Jesus.
It really IS that simple.

To be more godly you only need to keep to Richard Maybury's (WHATEVER HAPPENED TO JUSTICE) laws:
a) DO ALL YOU HAVE AGREED TO DO and
b) DO NOT ENCROACH ON OTHER PERSONS OR THEIR PROPERTY.
You will find this a very effective way to godliness.
