credit card seems to be useful but there are instances that user is being cheated ,getting statement from service provider showing expenditure that has not been incurred by them. where is the defect ?

As long as not revealing the credit card details to others it is safe. Not to do shopping from TV commercials and spam offers (they are the worst). Monitoring monthly statement is must. if anything found report the discrepancies to the bank immediately.

honestly.......there is no real safe amount on credit cards. you just have to be very careful with your details. only use secure websites and trusted vendors. even if you are the subject of credit card fraud, you must contact the credit card provider asap to let them know. they will then take over and sort it out for you as soon as they can.
