the "G Whizz", because it is an electric car, the owner is exempt from paying, road tax, fuel duty, congestion charge. Its really cheap to buy and run, environmentally friendly, and small and easy to park. others include, honda civic, mini cooper, ford ka, fiat punto's are very reliable and cheap to buy and run and to maintain. for even the smart car. scooters and motor cycles maybe be an option if you want to cut through the traffic during rush hour, but impractial if you want to go shopping.

Trust me on this, go japanese (not american) and I can garuntee you 99.99% that you won't regret it. Buy a brand new Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, or Nissan Versa and expect to pay about $9,500-$11,000. Any of them will last forever, have adaquate power, and will go ok in the snow (all are FWD). Steer clear from: any Kia, the Chevrolet Aveo, any Ford car, any used Geo, or any new or used american car.

Renault Clio's are very reliable cars. They're good value for money when put up against the other options and also have a nice physical design inside and out.

I've just bought a 2000 Polo. I absolutely love it! I've had punto's, seicento's, clio(that was good but was a sporty one!) peugoet 206, 106 and a few others but you can't beat the build of a VW.

My wife, my daughter and I have all had a Ford Ka. We have had 5 altogether and they are fab. They have power steering and this, plus size, makes them dead easy to park.

Plenty of room and hardly uses petrol. Insurance is cheap. A joy to drive. What more can I say?
