Will it just not be effective anymore or will it harm your body?

Check the expiration date on the bottle, some medications are good for up to two years. After the expiration date, if the medicine is discolored, crumbling, or changed at all, then throw it away and do not take it. But generally, after it expires, it just becomes less effective. It's never a good idea to take expired medicine, though.

No not good....
If the expiry date shows it to be expired ...get rid of it.
YEs there is some medicines that you can keep for longer periods than n year ...but my rule is .... if you got medicine or antibiotics especially for any ilnes , finish the whole course.
I did take some medicine that was older than a year and wasnt expired, but felt that it didnt have that original "kick" ...
So for me the main thing is...did it expire or not?

Check the expiry date and if it doesn't have an expiry date then I would stop taking it because the ink probably wore off.
