Will the xray at security wipe out the pics on the memory card in my digital camera .

Be safe. It shouldn't effect anything, but I always take my camera as a carry-on and have it hand-checked, just in case.

Why don't you transfer what you have on your card to your PC before you come to the U.S anyway?

no the X-ray equipment do not effect Electronics
