You folks didn't seem to understand the question. I'm not asking for your opinion on the matter. I'm not asking what you think God thinks.

I want to know what YOU would do. Would YOU...given Godlike powers....sentence unbelievers and homosexuals to eternal hell?

Don't give me a cop out chicken answer....grow some spine and let loose.

Interesting....only the heathen atheists and agnosttics seem willing to answer this....

Are you ashamed of your own rhettoric?

Do you know deep down in the pits of your stomach how offensive you and your belief system is?

I'd like to thank Jan and Warrior for having the courage of their disgusting convictions. You two are at least honest about being the disgusting, immoral, evil, loathesome, creatures that you are.

For the record...I wouldn't banish you two to hell, I'd just have you both be reincarnated as Wiccan lesbians. In love with one another.

Here's some spine for you from the manuscripts:
I think the plan will work quite well the way its written:
When Christ returns, it will usher in a 1000 year period of teaching, disipline and self control.
No need to go to hell; what you need is to start walking the line, and boy, will you ever be walking the line. Be happy that Christ is seeing to this:
If it were me giving the order??
ten times the disipline. If what you need is self control to learn how to keep your panties up, so be it. Thats exactly what you will learn;and lots and lots of disipline.
You will either do it Gods way, or off you go.
We will not be putting up with your bullshit much longer. You wanted it straight - there it is;
do what you will with it.

LOKESENNA (??): hell is instantaneous, not eternal. Thats just an idiom; hell is a blotting out of existance; turning to ashes from within.
Won't take long, I promise you.

Certainly not, since I am an atheist and have nothing against homosexuals. What they do is their business. If I had godlike powers I would eliminate all of the religions, cause something to make people quit believing in all these relgious myths, the source of most of the planet's pain and suffering.

No. I'm a sinner too. Everybody is born with sins. Nobody here on Earth is perfect. Only Jesus is.Hell was originally made for the Devil and his angels. God sent Jesus to die for the sins of the world(He wants people to believe on and follow Him to Heaven). If you believe in Him, you can follow Him by recieving the Holy Spirit who will lead and guide you into all truth. He is the Comforter. He convicts the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement. The fruits of the Spirit will grow as the believer follows His lead. To symbolize being washed by Jesus' Blood, we should get baptized in Jesus' name.

absolutely not.

I find the concept of eternal damnation horrific and excessively cruel.

If the Creator is benevolent then no such punishment should exist.

There is simply no possible way that a finite existence, no matter how evil (mass murder evil), could equate to an eternity of punishment.

Is that enough spine for you Aaron?

>> Am I damned to everlasting hell if i break up from my husband?         i will bypass over the actuality that, Biblically, hell would not exist and bypass staggering to answering your question. Getting a divorce isn't, in line with se, a sin. besides the undeniable fact that, in the view of the Bible, the only valid thank you to end a marriage is the two via dying or adultery. as a effect, if spouse1 replaced into married and is now single without spouse2 having died or dedicated adultery, then it would be a sin for spouse1 to get remarried. meaning, if spouse1 is now single without spouse2 having died or dedicated adultery, then God nevertheless considers spouse1 to be married (to spouse2) and spouse1 could be committing adultery (to no longer point out, polygamy) to get married back. you notice, God would not require spouse1 to stay in a bad marriage. besides the undeniable fact that, spouse1's purely different determination in that challenge is to proceed to be celibate -- a minimum of till spouse2 divorces spouse1 and spouse2 gets married back. God bless.

Hell no! That's because I am one. ;-)

Besides that, there is nothing a person could ever do in this life that would warrant being punished for all eternity. For some reason, Christians cannot seem to grasp the nature of infinity and just how messed up it is to torture someone for a finite "crime" for all infinity. My last question asked this, not one of the Christians understood it.

AB-solutely not. Each person has the right to live his or her life in peace without harrassment, with love and contentment. A compassionate and loving god would give unconditional love to all, not just the ones that follow a particular sect or have sex with a particular gender.

BTW, there's no such thing as hell. It's nonsense created to frighten people into obeying the power-mad church.

That is God's job, not mine! The Bible says that our thoughts are not like His thoughts! God is just and hates sin and He will judge sinners. He will not only judge the above named groups but the Bible says that ALL must stand before the throne to give an account! That includes me! I am not going to worry about what everyone else is doing since I have much to account for myself! I think I will beg for the precious blood of the Lamb to cover my sin and ask for forgiveness now so that my sins are made white as snow. It is only by the blood of the Lamb that sin is forgiven! He took the punishment we deserved to take for our own sins and paid the price for us. All we have to do is repent of our sins and ask for this atonement to be applied to our sins! What an awesome God and Savior we have!

Personally, I would hate to have the responsibility to judge someone else's life and decide their eternal fate.

I have been a high school sports referee, and I know that no matter what call you make, someone somewhere will not like it.

So, I suppose that it is only natural that you dislike some of God's "calls", but then again, somebody has to make a decision, and it is God's job to do so.

-------------------edit----------------

It does not matter if my belief system is repulsive to you. No matter what I believe, someone somewhere is not going to like it. No matter what I do or believe, I am going to offend someone, and it looks like it your number just came up.
