I was prescribed Zoloft for my anxiety however I was raised in a family that lookds down upon medication. Just rub some dirt in it. So I was wondering if anyone out there tried it. I know the doctors say its safe and all but I was wondering about personal experiences. Can it be dangerous? Addictive? Can it be harmful or has it been pretty well tested ???

I was on Zoloft for about 2 months. It gave me severe heart palpitations. They were so bad that I was sent to a cardiologist for tests. No damage to my heart, but I was having a side effect to the Zoloft. After I quit taking it, I had no more palpitations. It didn't work for me, but I know a few people who swear it's the best thing they ever took. The only thing I can say is, try it and see if it helps you. If not, there are other equally good meds out there. Good Luck. :)

This is truly one of the ugly ones.
I was on it and it wasnt helping so they increased the dosage. Made me suicidal..I quit taking it and the symptoms went away including what put me on it in the first place.
I have heard all kinds of horror stories, but also some people can tolerate it.. Me personally. - I wouldnt touch it again with a ten foot pole.
