New here. Met the woman of my dreams three months ago. Everything was going great. She told me she was falling in love and that I was the man of her dreams. Now, she is leaving the country for 2 years for work and says doesn't want to see me anymore because it is too hard for her. But, she doesn't leave for over 6 more months. She doesn't call anymore or email and she has stood me up for a concert and broadway play. What's the deal?

She is trying to keep herself distant from you so it doesnt hurt so much. Even though its six months away, she just does not want to take the time to fall even more in love with you because she knows in the end she will have to leave you anways. This way it is easier for her. Shes stopping herself from getting hurt, and the easiest way to do this is to pretend she is not in loved with you. But she is probably thinking about you this entire time...its just as hard for her as it is for you.

Sorry to hear that but she obviously wasn't the woman you thought she was- the woman of your dreams. I know that leaving someone you truly love and long distance relationships are hard but somethings up if she's still going to be in town for another six months. You sound like a nice guy- move on and find someone who really deserves your love and affection!

Unfortunately, the deal is that you're dumped. It's plain and simple.
