Mine asks the questions I wish I could ask but don't because people around me wouldn't be amused. They have no sense of humour.

He answers questions in ways I wish I could answer in real life but don't because people don't want honesty.

The way I answer is the way I would answer in real life (with the exception of a very few social situations). The questions I ask in R&S aren't questions I ask in real life because, well, most people I know just wouldn't care to answer.

Jim Darwin is a clown. He does have some of Sean's intellectual curioiusity and flirty nature.

In real life people wont talk politics or religion with me anymore, when they say their opinion I ask, "but what about" (facts) "how does that affect what you just said" and am told to change the topic.

The real man Sean is not really funny often, people do laugh but since the real Sean is such an introvert its only a close few who see it.

The real Sean is a super smart guy in those areas of academia he has concentrated on.

The real Sean is an agnostic but the Jim Darwin is a sort of atheist since atheists get more answers.

When I did say that I was an agnostic I got a better quality of answer.

This isn't an alter ego. Its 100% the real me. I don't beat around the bush in life anymore than I do here... Its just more fun to discuss these topics here, where people may actually understand what I'm talking about.

I'm pretty much the same here as in real life -- obnoxious, self-contradictory, uppity, thoughtful, emotional, creative, and a little randy.

EDIT

WTF about that no creativity question? This was a great question, the kind I wish all the regulars were here at the same time to answer.

My alter ego is much more willing to be a sarcastic prick than the real life version.

Ironically, in the real world I'm known as Mr. Manners.

I'm pretty much the same as my Y!A alter-ego: a devout Muslim willing to answer any questions about Islam for anyone seeking information, who also speaks out against the Al-Qaeda, Shi'a, and other terrorist groups of Islam.

As-Salaamu Alaikum - Peace be upon you

I see that the brain cells are working again, you must be feeling a little better. Yes, my alter ego is less shy on YA's R&S than in life outside it. Perhaps we are all a little more bolder because of the anominity.

Mine is honestly almost identical...but louder. I say and do the same things, just not with people I don't know or am uncomfotable around.

I'm an obnoxious loud mouth who has learned some self control over the years. About the same as here.

About the only thing different is that I'm not as cool looking
as my avatar! *for those who don't know the guys in my
avatar are from the band Venom*
Plus in real life I don't let people know I'm an Atheist.
