I was 6'1" 207lbs - now 196lbs - Decided last week to cut back my eating a bit and get back to running. Not starving myself, drinking lots of water, and a few beers. Lost 11lbs in one week. Now my wife is going crazy, saying it's not healthy, blah blah blah. Can't help it I would win the biggest loser! ha-ha! What do you think?

As long as you're not starving yourself, it should be ok. The loss you saw is probably mostly water weight anyway. Drinking lots of water is good. Keep that up!

the first week is always the most significant in terms of losing weight on the scale especially when the amounts of carbohydrates are drastically reduced. probably around 70% of the weight lost was water
