Which computer program is suitable for this purpose ?

I need to send an ex-ray photo of broken bone to a hospital, but the usual scanner has shown black sheet to the receiver.

Take a photo of it with a digital Camera.

some scanners come with negative scanning capabilities for photos, i guess yours hasn't, in fact i don't know if it would work on xrays but why haven't the hospital got a copy of the xray anyway? i take it it came from there in the first place.
