I always thought Grandad like a real person and Uncle Albert a comedy character. Although both excellent.

I likes Uncle Alberts white beard better and I thought he was funnier than grandad. Person opinion though.

They were both lovable in their own way. I thought no-one could replace grandad, but Uncle Albert did a good job and I think he one everyones hearts.

Personally prefer Uncle Albert as he was a more diverse character. Plus his endless war stories.
