Chicken egg yolks contain about 10 grams of fat. People on a low-cholesterol diet may need to cut down on egg consumption, although most of the fat in egg is unsaturated fat and may not be harmful.
The egg white consists primarily of water (87%) and protein (13%) and contains no cholesterol and little, if any, fat.
All of the egg's vitamin A, D and E is in the yolk. The egg is one of the few foods which naturally contain vitamin D (although this nutrient is naturally produced in humans when their skin is exposed to sunlight). A large egg yolk contains approximately 60 calories (250 kilojoules); the egg white contains about 15 calories (60 kilojoules).

Eating a breakfast of omega-3 enriched eggs could improve blood triglyceride levels, boost heart health, and help people reach their omega-3 recommended intakes.
A new concept is eggs that are enriched with Omega-3 fatty acids. Eggs enriched with omega-3 fatty acids are not a new idea, with commercially available products on both sides of the Atlantic. Along with kelp and flax seed, chickens that lay low-fat eggs are fed canola oil or other types of non-animal fats. Hens raised on this special diet produce eggs with lower saturated fat that are fortified with omega-3 fatty acid, iodine and vitamin E.
But if you can't afford eggs enriched with omega-3 fatty acids, than the white is definitely the healthier part of the egg :)

Technically, the whole egg is good for you, but the white is the part that most nutritionists suggest eating and not the yolk. Most of the time, if someone is allergic to eggs, it turns out to be the sulfur of the yolk that bothers them, whereas the white have nothing in them to be allergic to.
as for healthier... since it is the yolk that becomes the chicken when allowed to mature to gestation- i would say the yolk is pretty healthy for a chicken!

Both the white and the yolk are healthy. They're both high in protein and monounsaturated fat, which actually raises your "good" cholesterol and lowers your "bad" cholesterol. Many people get concerned about eating the yolks because the yolks contain the cholesterol, but studies have shown that they don't raise your cholesterol if you eat them. If you're really worried about it, skip the yolk and eat the whites -- you won't lose much protein or "good" fat by eating just the egg white.

If you're looking for lower calories, less fat - then yes, the egg white.
But the yolk isn't "unhealthy" just because it contains more calories. It does however have ridiculously high cholesterol. Yolk is though, a great source of MANY vitamins and minerals, as well as iron.
