No, promithizine is not a narcotic. It is an antihistamine used for morning sickness, motion sickness, and nausea for withdrawls from narcotics. It can be used for allergic reactions, itchy watery eyes and runny nose, hay fever, a sedative, and at one time an anti psychotic. Promithizine can be combined with codeine, an opiate which is a narcotic, to suppress coughs.
