We broke up because of his committment phobic issues. He called me and told me what is going on in his life. I didn't want to hear it, I lost it and told him how much he hurt me...how much I don't want to know about what is going on in his life. He was an hour away and drove to see me. He was crying...actually told me he loved me...he never did beforel Now what do I do? What does the crying mean? Should I believe him? Deep down I know he is the one for me...but I can't go through the hurt I went through before.

Update: I fell in love with him. It seemed like he felt the same...everything was perfect. Then he started treating me really bad, like never taking me around anyone. Enough was enough. So when I told him how bad he hurt me that is when he cried. He said he didn't realize how much I loved him and then he told me he loved me. And it was hard for him to say it....I have no idea why he has a problem saying it. Help!

My guess is since he called you up and "told" you what was going on in his life you weren't that close to begin with and this relationship was probably mostly physical. Take some time to mature and realize we don't all go at the same pace. For you not to know what was going on in his life either means he lies or you didn't give it a lot of time. Both mean neither of you are ready for the "I can't live without you" kind of relationship.

what kind of hurt did he put you through?. If it was commitment issues, maybe it's time to talk about your relationship again. Guys do change their minds after they have lost you. It happened to me, but I still dumped him, It was too little too late and he just did'nt want to be alone. If you still love him give him a chance to prove that he is going to try and make you a huge part of his life.

Well since he was crying, I would talk to him about why you broke up with him. Maybe now that he lost you he will be willing to make a commitment with you. I think you should give it another try as long as he understands why he hurt you and what you need from him to feel secure.

I think it all depends on his issues. I would hear him out. He might be doing the right thing and breaking off the relationship (even though it is obviously hurting him to do so), so he can work on himself, and be a man that you CAN have a life with. If he is cheating...that is another story. Sometimes people just need to be alone for them to figure out their crap. If you think he is a keeper, help him out, and see where it goes. He sounds like a good guy

Sometimes men hide their true feelings until the person they love is really gone and they realize it. I suggest giving him another chance and see where things go. If nothing comes of it then remove yourself from the situation immediately! Don't elaborate on the past because that will only hurt you... trust me its from past experience. Good Luck!

if he really loves you then tell him to see a shrink. both of you could go to counselling. i think he is just manipulating you by crying. when men cry it means that they need something from you or that they have done something wrong. they NEVER cry for love, take it from me.
