I've not spoken to my close female friend for 3 months as we got to close.I told her that I wanted no contact so that I could get over my feelings for her. She only wanted to be friends.
She's txt bck:i really do not have the energy to keep explaining things to you.I will be civil but i'm afraid i feel the close friendship is lost...........
We MET ON FRIDAY at a friends party,we spoke a lot,but she still looked hurt+uncomfortable at times.
I apologised for hurting her i.e. wanting no contact - she snaped bck saying YOU NEVER HURT ME! GOOD/BAD RESPONSE??
I asked her if she'll join us on our group roadtrips - she said YES! - A POSITIVE SIGN OF FRIENDSHIP RESTARTING???
As she left I said that hopefully/possibly see you in a few months -she replied I'll see you at the roadtrip - we said bye and she gave me a tight hug - ANOTHER POSITIVE SIGN???
She needed a hug from my mate as it was too much for her to take in!
IS THE FRIENDSHIP REALLY LOST???Why she hurt???

sounds like she wants to be friends still. maybe she was a little hurt because she had some feelings for you but didnt really want to persue them because she was afraid getting into a relationship might destroy your friendship if you broke up.

She clearly needs distance.You did hurt her I don't know why.But she isn't going to admit this to you.Yes she'll go on the trips other people are around theres no threat. She gave the hug happy for the invite and I guess a way of saying see ya round.Frienship may or maynot be lost.You need time too see. If you were close like bf/gf then maybe it will be lost because you will always be thinking what if and you don't want that staring you in the face all the time.

you seem like a very week willed man women often find that a turn of as they are attracted to strength. I had a friend like you he didn`t understand that his actions were creating all the mess he was in with relatioinships you need to learn to let go hanging on to a fake idea you`ll get back together is a sign of a week mind that has difficulty dealing with truth. I think you seem to see what you want and look for things that arn`t there you sound very childish to me

shes hurt because instead of working it out like a true friend would, u ran away. shes hurt because she lost her best friend.
maybe she looked uncomfortable because you did aswell, without knowing it. ur not going to have the same friendship as before if your not 100% sure that u dont want to lose her as a friend.
or maybe she did have feelings for u aswell, but didnt realise it till after u told her u didnt want contact with her. the easiest thing to do is to TALK IT OUT! face to face. because no1 knows more about how she is feeling than her.

Apparently she feels you want more from her than a mere friendship. As she is not ready to give more than that to you and fears you may suffer that could explain how she acts.
But I am sure she enjoys your company as a friend.
She was hurt by the fact that you wanted to stop meeting her.
All this is misunderstanding and mixed feelings on your part you should come to clear out.

it sounds to me that maybe she liked you more than she let on. you broke the contact, and she realised how mush she was in love with you. i couldn't tell you if the friendship is over, because i don't know you, but at least try and explain the way you feel, tell her you want the friendship back, and you will know if it is, or is not by her response, good luck to you,x

i think that you need to reconnect with her through the roadtrip. i think shes just scared of what you said and she is lost. ive been through the same situation except i actually dated him and it put a huge strain on our relationship when i called it off but we are cool now becasue i talked to him and explained it to him and now we are closer than ever so honestly that is what you need to do if you dont want to lose your friend for good. . .talk to her and reconnect on your roadtrip!

The friendship is gone and why she hurt sit a mystery, why don't you ask her and find out. But I wouldn't worry and let her be what she wants and move on.

So you still just want to be friends with her. I think you need to explain that. Its clear she has feelings for you more than friends. and when you told her that you didnt want to have contact with her for a while, it hurt her. i think that you should decide what you want to do first, then talk to her, she might not be able to be friends with you, her feelings would alwys come first

in my opinion this girl wants to be wif one minute and not the next. Isuggest u try to find a better girl to share your time with. This girls sending you on a bad emotion trip and really we cud all do without people like that
