I understand why men who were in the Texas Airforce with Geo. W. Bush call him "Dodger". Why do the men who were with his father, GHWB, during WW II call him "Ditcher"?

Of course, dubyah dodged many things including combat. But as I understand it he is also called "dodger" because the denial by one woman that she ever received the modern IBM typewriters that GSA says she did let him dodge being proved a deserter. By implication he is a draft dodger as well.

The elder Bush was not able to escape military service because of ill feeling towards his father Prescott who was financing the nazi war machine. For that reason he was put in the Pacific theater of war. His shipmates called him "ditcher" because he was found in the water after having gone down (ironically called ditching) on the projected course of the ship. To be there he had to have separated from his squadron and gone off a different direction. There were no witnesses to his being shot down as he claimed and no evidence one way or the other. Nor were there witnesses to his intentionally ditching to avoid actual combat. So suspicion is the only basis for that nickname.

Now you tell me, why is Prescott,Sr. called "digger"?

You are a disgrace to America. George H.W. Bush served his country honorably in World War II and saved this country from tyranny. Meanwhile you serve tacos at Jack in the Box and work night shifts with the liberal coward keyboard brigade.
