I know Effexor XR isn't FDA approved to treat these disorders, but has anyone had any relief from either of these conditions with this antidepressant?

I had relief from PMDD with Effexor. I don't know why it helped, but after taking it for a few months I noticed that it got easier for me each month.

I took Effexor XR for years and it made my PMDD worse! To the point where my mood swings affected my relationships. So I went off the Effexor XR and started Sarafem - I am a new person!

I was on Effexor XR for 7 years. Can't say on the BDD, but seems it made my PMDD worse. That is just my experience. Didi you try DHEA for your PMDD?
