If you are on a normal tax code (i.e. single, not a parent etc) then you will be taxed £5234.30 in the current tax year. In April the personal allowances etc will probably change so you will end up paying a bit less than this for your total tax in 2007.

You will also pay £2830.96 in NI contributions.

This equates to £1,827 take home pay each month.

The first £5000 or so is tax free, then there is a small 10% rate and the rest is taxed at 25%. All in all I guess you'll pay around £6000 in tax.NI contributions are extra.
This is not exact but not too far off.

Im not sure exactly but if you earn 30k a year and you get taxed normally (ie not on emergency tax or anything) you will take home roughly £1800.00 a month after tax
Hope this helps.

The standard allowance is £4740 tax free then the rest is taxed. A good place to see roughly what your tax and NI will be is http://www.taxcentral.co.uk/taxcentral/home/employment/payslipcalculator/default.asp.

It all depends on your personal allowance.

Check with your local tax office.
